Now playing: Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson – Say, Say, Say

I’ve been on a bit of an herbal, organic, all-natural type of kick lately. I’ve switched all of my makeup and facial cleansing supplies to an organic brand, as well as my shampoo, etc. It’s amazing – they even make a herbal fat burner now. I never noticed that there were so many organic and/or all-natural products out there…now if only the food options would be a bit cheaper!

I remember back when “getting hits” was SO important. Blogs/journals/domains were all the craze, and people couldn’t join webrings or submit a directory submission quickly enough. It took me a little longer than others to jump on the domain bandwagon, but I’ve never really looked back, even though my available time has changed so much in the past 11 years.

I still enjoy journaling, but I find it nearly impossible to journal anything with real “substance” anymore! Having a little one takes so much more of my free time then I knew I had to give (and understandably so!), and I willingly have given this time away to spend time with her. If I truly spent more time journaling here, I’m pretty sure it would be full of goofy baby things, and the daily “What Lily Did”s. And while that may appear cute for awhile, it wouldn’t be surprising if it started to get a little old!

So, I’m not getting rid of my domain, but it’s definitely been hibernating for awhile now until I can find motivation and time to really breathe new life into it!

I’m off to play with Lil!

Buying presents for my dad is getting increasingly difficult. For years it seemed I could get away with buying him some sort of auto accessories, but not anymore. He’s still into cars, but not to the extent that he once was. I really need to get on top of things. Christmas is rapidly approaching and I don’t want to be stuck shoving my way through stores at the last minute!

Our Christmas is definitely pretty low-key this year. Most of our Christmas shopping has been for Lily! I still would like to get her some more things, but I already know that both sets of grandparents have already bought her quite a few things. I actually am pretty happy with the presents I’ve bought Jonathan. He’s pretty easy to please. I don’t have to shell out a lot of money on Elie Tahari clothes for him, that’s for sure.

I recently noticed that all of the desktop computers in our family aren’t somebody’s leftovers…except for mine! Well, I take that back, Jon’s is used, but it’s his used computer from work that has since been replaced. Sometime in the near future I would love to be able to pick out a computer for myself without getting what’s left over…but of course money has to support that and honestly, right now, I’d rather buy things for Lily or the house!
