Jon and I (with Lily in the tummy!), Christmas 2008 (27 wks pregnant).
Here's the story
of a little torti
that we found sleeping on our patio one day
She's missing a bit of fur
on her backside
but was otherwise okay
Here's the story
of a persistent kitty
that spent all her time on our patio
chasing other cats
and napping
she put on quite a show
'Till the one day when this kitty
convinced this couple
to come outside with her and have a chat
and after a couple of months
and lots of cuddles
This little kitty, Tori, became our newest cat
Our newest cat
Our newest cat
That's the way she became our newest cat!

This is the Astro Orbiter. The last time I was at Disneyland, they still had the rocket with the mini-rockets. Now this is in it's place. Steph (

And…the highlight….

Steph and I with the one, the only, Captain Jack Sparrow! This guy did a fabulous job as Captain Jack. Many of the female guests thought it was really Johnny Depp (we heard the squeals). We both had matching Jack Sparrow t-shirts on, too. Yes, we love him THAT much.

Jon and Jen – or is it Fred and Wilma?
I took many nighttime pictures, too, but unfortunately my camera doesn't do night photos well unless there is just the right amount of light
I'm hoping to get a new camera sometime next year, if all goes well
So, all in all, it was quite a vacation.
I haven’t been around much lately. I’ve had a lot of things going on, things that are too intimate and too personal for me to even journal about except in my paper journal, and even that was a stretch for me. I’ve been struggling a lot as of late with both my body and issues with my family, so I am feeling a lot of emotional strain and physical discontent, so to try and lighten the mood here with me, I present some photos from our recent trip to Crater Lake (which was this last Sunday).

We were expecting snow, but not this much. There was a solid block of snow on each side of the road during a majority of the drive up there.

We had to maneuver around a very short, narrow plowed path to get to the lake, and the snow got higher and higher.

We couldn’t even see the lake at first, just the nearly-covered lodge. We had to walk (or practically climb) up 12-15 feet of solid snow to get these shots. The entire parking lot was covered in that high snow. The whole park was covered.

Jon up on the top of the mound of snow, right in front of the roof of the barely-visible lodge. I can’t remember if it’s 3 or 4 stories high, but either way, it’s pretty obvious that there’s quite a large amount of snow accumulation there.
